BROWNSBURG, Ind. (September 15, 2025) – The California sunshine was kind to Kerry Madsen and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing (TSR), concluding their two-race stint at Bakersfield Speedway at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway and Perris Auto Speedway with back-to-back top-tens, highlighting all appearances with a sixth-place performance in Bakersfield’s Nashville West Showdown on Friday, September 12.
In all, it was a grand effort by “The Madman” at Bakersfield, launching all preliminary competition with the second-fastest qualifying time, racing on to finish second in his respective heat race. An eventual sixth-place finish in the evening’ Dash would put Madsen on the A’s third row.
Although unable to match his Friday end result, the consistency remained, concluding Perris Auto Speedway’s SoCal Showdown with an eighth-place finish, fading just one position from the inside of row four.
The double top-ten stretch gave Madsen and TSR the California boost they needed, now setting aim on a monster weekend at Tulare’s Thunderbowl Raceway on Friday and Saturday, September 19-20. Honoring legendary World of Outlaws car owner, Dennis Roth, the Dennis Roth Classic will award an $83,000 payday. Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing will roll into Thunderbowl Raceway sixth in the World of Outlaws team championship standings padded by 32 top-tens in 56 A-Main appearances.
