MARION CENTER SPEEDWAY NOW FASTRAK NORTHEAST SANCTIONED FOR 2013!!

With racing season approaching the FASTRAK NORTHEAST LATE MODEL SERIES has acquired the historic MARION CENTER SPEEDWAY to the list of FASTRAK sanctioned tracks for 2013. The legendary facility, which was opened in 1966 by Dave Potts and still run by his family, provides a smooth glass like surface every Saturday night from April until September.
With the addition of Marion Center, there will now be a two night circuit for the drivers of the area as nearby track DOG HOLLOW, which is a charter FASTRAK member races on Friday night, and with both track 40 minutes away from each other, should give the fans of Indiana County countless action on weekends this summer.

Plus drivers wont have to travel as far for their championship points with both tracks being so close so it’s a win-win for everyone!!!!”
Marion Center begins its 47th Anniversary on Saturday May 4th. The gates and concession stands open an hour and a half before the racing begins at 7:30pm. One night’s program consists of racing 7 divisions: Lias Tire Super Late Models, Force, Inc. Steel Block Limited Latemodels, Q-102, ¾ Scale Late Models, W. G. Satterlee & Sons Street Stocks, the Willow Farm Campground Strictly Stocks and the new Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic “Fastrak Crate Limited Late Models.
The 1/4 mile dirt track oval is located on the top of a hill, just off PA route 119, 3 miles north of Marion Center and 10 miles south of Punxsutawney at 484 Potts Road, Marion Center, PA 15759 . The track was built in the fall of 1965 with the first races in the summer of 1966. The business has been owned and operated by the Potts family (Dave, June, Rich, and Janet) ever since.
