Marks Concludes Outlaw Swing with Top-Ten in New Jersey, Charlotte On Deck

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

MYERSTOWN, Pa. (May 25, 2016) – After four starts with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, the “Myerstown Missile” Brent Marks returned to team headquarters with two top-ten finishes, including a podium run to kick-off the four race eastern swing through Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey.

Marks highlighted his eastern swing with the “Greatest Show On Dirt” with a third place performance at the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pa., on Thursday, May 19. The Myerstown, Pennsylvania, native earned his second top-ten finish in the last six days on Tuesday evening, May 24, at the New Egypt Speedway in New Egypt, New Jersey; finishing ninth during the Jersey Outlaw Classic.

“We had those races circled on our calendar since the WoO schedule came out,” explained Brent Marks. “The eastern swing makes things less stressful for our team. We can work out of our own shop and travel is kept at a minimum. I think we had a great run this week. They are the best in the business. To earn two top-ten finishes, including a podium, says a lot about our team and what we are capable of. We’ll get to join them again on Friday.”

With only two days to spare, Brent Marks will rejoin the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series on Friday night, May 27, at the Dirt Track at Charlotte near Charlotte, North Carolina. The trip south will be the first of two for Marks in 2016, with plans to return to Charlotte in late October for the World of Outlaws World Finals.

Memorial Day weekend will continue with three consecutive appearances at the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania. Marks, pilot of the Brent Marks Racing, M&M Painting & Construction, BAPS Auto Paint & Supply, Creekside Auto Sales, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, Russell Heller Builders, KC Automotive, No. 19M, will enter the Bob Weikert Memorial Sprint Car Spectacular at the Port Royal “Speed Palace,” set to take over the Juniata County Fairgrounds on Saturday through Monday, May 28-30. The Saturday and Monday programs will award $5,000, with Saturday’s event awarding a $10,000 winner’s share. Brent Marks has a rich history at Port Royal Speedway, winning the Night Before The 50 and Tuscarora 50 in 2015.

“This is going to be an awesome weekend,” said Marks. “I’m excited to kick-off our weekend in Charlotte before coming home to race at Port Royal. It has the potential to be very rewarding. I wouldn’t be able to do this without the help from my family and crew. My guys work hard and circle their lives around this race team. I appreciate everything that they do. Hopefully we can snag a win or two this weekend and spend all next week celebrating.”
