MYERSTOWN, Pa. (October 14, 2019) – Fresh off of his Williams Grove Speedway National Open triumph worth $65,000, the ‘Myerstown Missile’ Brent Marks continued his 2019 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with a visit to southern Indiana, this time entering action at the always-racey Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt on Sunday, October 13.
Marks’ visit to the Hoosier State proved successful for the third-year Outlaw, eventually acquiring his 22nd World of Outlaws top-ten finish of the year by finishing seventh after starting second on the 40-lap grid. His route to a top-ten was just as impressive as the final outcome, as Marks timed fourth quick overall, winning his respective heat race before finishing second in the evening dash shortly thereafter.
“It was a solid night at Tri-State. We tried our best to put our National Open momentum to the test and it almost worked out. It was another great effort by my team,” Brent Marks said, driver of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/No. 19 sprint car. “We still have a lot of racing left on our calendar. Another win is certainly not out of the question. That’s what we are out here to do.”
Up next on the schedule, Brent Marks and Brent Marks Racing will venture further west into the heart of the Midwest and visit Lakeside Speedway and Lake Ozark Speedway on Friday and Saturday, October 18 & 19, respectively. Once the coming weekend is complete, Marks will return to Pennsylvania and take part in the two-day Nittany Showdown at Port Royal Speedway.
