Clovis, California native and current World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Champion, Jason Meyers, was two for two in Australian sprint car competition New Years Day at the Tyrepower Sydney Speedway in Granville, Australia. The originally scheduled Coca-Cola Sprintcar Stampede was joined forces by the rescheduled Australian Sprintcar Grand Prix for a double dose of sprint car action at Sydney. The annual Sprintcar Grand Prix was washed out on Boxing Day after the rains came just a few laps into the 30 lap main event.
Meyers not only grabbed the rescheduled Australian Sprintcar Grand Prix victory in dominant fashion, but also the Coca-Cola Sprintcar Stampede victory.
