FREMONT, Ohio (April 15, 2019) – Consistency is certainly the key, and that is exactly what the ‘Texas Traveler’ T.J. Michael is practicing at Attica Raceway Park.
Michael, driver of the Michael Motorsports/Advanced Architectural Stone/Crown Battery/Fremont Fence Company/Pro-Tech Services/Wood Heating and Air Conditioning/Kear’s Speed Shop/Soul Fully Rooted/Big D’s Pizza/No. 8M sprint car, followed up on his tenth place finish at Attica Raceway Park on Saturday, April 6, with another top-ten run on Friday, April 12, this time finishing eighth during Attica/Fremont Championship Series (AFCS) competition.
For Michael, not only is the consistency important in terms of overall success, but gaining confidence and momentum also derives from consistent finishes, all great attributes to own especially with the All Star Circuit of Champions making their way to Attica Raceway Park on Friday and Saturday, April 19 & 20.
“I’m not sure of our plan for Saturday just yet, but we’ll definitely be at Attica on Friday for the first night of the Spring Nationals. I’m excited,” T.J. Michael expressed, who is a former 305c.i. sprint car winner at Attica. “[Attica] is a track we want to be good at. We’ve been working our tails off at getting faster and faster at that place. Things are finally starting to come together, and at no better time.”
Although initial plans include joining the All Star Circuit of Champions at Attica Raceway Park for night one of Core & Main Spring Nationals competition on Friday, April 19, Michael may follow the FAST Series trail to Twin Cities Raceway Park on Saturday, April 20. A final decision will be made later in the week.
In addition to his Attica Raceway Park start on Friday, April 12, the ‘Texas Traveler’ also made the short trip to Fremont Speedway for their season-opening program on Saturday, April 13. Unfortunately, a mechanical mishap during B-main action erased all hope for Michael to compete in the evening’s A-main. A broken front end bolt was the culprit.
