PLANO, Texas (December 2, 2020) – The “Texas Traveler” TJ Michael will rejoin the All Star Circuit of Champions in 2021, set to pick up right where he left off at the conclusion of the 2017 season and return as a full-time competitor. The Plano, Texas-native, who headquarters his race team in Fremont, Ohio, will hit the road with recently hired hand AJ Havens. Havens, an experienced wrench with victories on all levels including the World of Outlaws and All Star Circuit of Champions, will call the shots on the Michael Motorsports No. 8M during the new year.

Kicking things off with non-point competition in Georgia and Florida, the 2021 All Star Circuit of Champions agenda consists of 59 dates across 13 states. The Series will visit 32 tracks during their travels, all of which, with the exception of Screven Motor Speedway, East Bay Raceway Park and Volusia Speedway Park, are scattered across the heart of the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have AJ Havens join our team in 2021. We’re confident he has the knowledge and the experience necessary to maximize our team’s potential. Building a team to run with the All Stars again wouldn’t be possible without AJ’s insight,” TJ Michael said, driver of the Advanced Architectural Stone, Crown Battery, Fremont Fence Company, Pro-Tech Services, Wood Heating and Air Conditioning, Kear’s Speed Shop, Wings Unlimited, Big D’s Pizza, No. 8M sprint car. “We have a lot of work to do, but we’ll be ready to go. We’re going all in and I couldn’t be more excited.”

Improving significantly since his last outing with “America’s Series,” Michael’s most recent full-time campaign with the All Star Circuit of Champions was highlighted with a pair of top-ten finishes, eventually ending his season with 28 feature starts. Recent highlights with the traveling All Stars includes a top-ten performance at Attica Raceway Park on September 4, ending his evening with an impressive rally from 24th to finish tenth.

Michael owns one victory during 410 sprint car competition, which was scored during FAST Series action at Waynesfield Raceway Park on August 2, 2019. The victory, accomplished during the Rick Ferkel Classic, earned the “Texas Traveler” a $5,000 payday.

“Running with the caliber of teams that will be racing full-time with the All Stars next season is only going to make me better as a driver, as well as help us improve as a team,” Michael continued. “The more laps, the more you learn; that’s the bottom line. I can’t wait to get started.”
