FREMONT, Ohio (August 26, 2019) – The ‘Texas Traveler’ T.J. Michael has been on a tear in recent weeks, and that trend certainly continued on Friday and Saturday, August 23 & 24, during stops at Attica Raceway Park and Wayne County Speedway, respectively.
A perfect momentum boost before entering a busy Labor Day weekend stretch, Michael secured top-ten finishes during each of his weekend appearances highlighted with a third place finish at Wayne County Speedway on Saturday. Impressive enough, the Plano, Texas-native, who calls Fremont home during the summer months, had to rally from the tail to accomplish his podium outcome, the result of contact with an inside-track tractor tire during the opening lap.
Not limiting his impressive passing skill to Wayne County Speedway, Michael’s visit to Attica Raceway Park on Friday evening also ended with a rally from mid-pack or further, this time advancing from 12th to finish sixth at the final checkers. Incidentally, Michael has finished sixth at Attica Raceway Park during three consecutive starts dating back to August 16.
“We keep getting better and better and that is really motivating. We are having a ton of fun right now. That’s allowed our confidence to grow, as well as some momentum. I’m ready for Labor Day weekend,” T.J. Michael expressed, driver of the Michael Motorsports/Advanced Architectural Stone/Crown Battery/Fremont Fence Company/Pro-Tech Services/Wood Heating and Air Conditioning/Kear’s Speed Shop/Wings Unlimited/Soul Fully Rooted/Big D’s Pizza/No. 8M sprint car. “If we are going to get good, this is the time to do it.”
T.J. Michael will now set aim on four consecutive All Star Circuit of Champions starts over Labor Day weekend, kicking off with back-to-back events at Attica Raceway Park on August 30 & 31, followed by two more nights of action at Wayne County Speedway on September 1 & 2. The All Star four pack is loaded with fire power, as Saturday’s Brad Doty Classic at Attica is awarding a $10,000 top prize, accompanied by the Pete Jacobs Memorial at Wayne County Speedway awarding a $12,000 top prize on Sunday.
The All Star events on Friday and Monday will each award $5,000 shares.
