FREMONT, Ohio (July 15, 2019) – Building positive momentum just in time for the prestigious Brad Doty Classic at Attica Raceway Park, the ‘Texas Traveler’ T.J. Michael put together an extraordinary effort during his recent weekend in the Buckeye State, earning back-to-back top-ten performances including a podium run at Wayne County Speedway.
The weekend results, complete with an eighth place finish at Attica Raceway Park on July 12 before capping the two-day trip with a third place finish at ‘Orrville’s Historic Oval’ on Saturday, July 13, bumped Michael’s top-ten count to seven in 2019, all of which spread across three facilities: Attica Raceway Park, Sharon Speedway, and Wayne County Speedway.
Impressive enough, Michael’s podium run at Wayne County Speedway was the product of a row five starting position.
“It was a great weekend for our team. I’m proud of everyone involved,” Michael said, driver of the Michael Motorsports/Advanced Architectural Stone/Crown Battery/Fremont Fence Company/Pro-Tech Services/Wood Heating and Air Conditioning/Kear’s Speed Shop/Wings Unlimited/Soul Fully Rooted/Big D’s Pizza/No. 8M sprint car. “There are a lot of people who put forth a lot of effort to ensure I have the equipment and resources necessary to be competitive. Their hard work and dedication is certainly paying off. I’m excited to get back to Attica on Tuesday.”
Up next on the schedule, T.J. Michael and Michael Motorsports will join the Greatest Show On Dirt, the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, during a visit to Attica Raceway Park, attempting to qualify and contend for a top-ten, or a win, during the coveted Brad Doty Classic on Tuesday evening, July 16. The Plano, Texas-native qualified for the 2018 Brad Doty Classic A-main and finished 19th; there were 50 cars on hand for the midweek showcase.
