Michael Will Visit Michigan with Arctic Cat All Stars
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
FREMONT, Oh. (June 8, 2016) – T.J. Michael will continue his rookie campaign with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions this Saturday night, June 11, with a visit to the Butler Speedway near Quincy, Michigan. The Butler “Battlegrounds” invasion will be the first of 2016 for T.J. Michael, as well as the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions.
Michael will enter competition currently fifth in the Arctic Cat All Star championship hunt, earning two top-ten finishes and two hard charger awards in 12 main event starts, leading all Arctic Cat All Star rookies in the title chase. There are 13 full-time touring members in 2016.
“Feels pretty good to be in the position that we are in. We’re excited about how things are going,” explained T.J. Michael. “I have a great team that works hard each and every week. Their dedication puts me in a better position to learn, and that has certainly been the case. We still need to work on a few things, but regardless, this has been a great experience. Our goal is to keep the positive momentum moving forward.”
Butler Speedway will host the lone Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions program of the upcoming weekend, making the transition into Ohio Sprint Speedweek presented by Cometic Gasket less hectic. The 34th edition of Ohio Sprint Speedweek will feature eight nights of competition at eight different Ohio dirt ovals, all of which over the course of nine days. Round one will ignite on Friday evening, June 17, at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio.
“We’ve been looking forward to Ohio Sprint Speedway since last season,” said T.J. Michael. “It’s going to be demanding and it’s going to be challenging, but we are definitely up for the challenge. Speedweek will play a huge role in the point championship. We want to stay consistent all week. It will make or break our season.”
Recent results for T.J. Michael include finishing 13th against the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series at Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio, on Friday, June 3. The “Texas Traveler” climbed 11 positions during the 40-lap/$10,000-to-win main event, earning his spot in the “big dance” by finishing fourth during the Last Chance Showdown. There were 42 cars entered.
