Pittsburgh, PA (May 31st, 2013) – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania’s Mike Reft will take-on some of the best crate late model competitors in Western Pennsylvania this Saturday evening, June 1st; as the pilot of the familiar McGervey Electric ‘9R’ heads to Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway for the second round of the RUSH Pro-Late Model ‘Sizzler’ series. Mike Reft, who pilots the McGervey Electric, Advance Auto Parts, Bobby’s Lounge, no. 9R crate late model, is a weekly competitor at ‘Dirt’s Monster Half Mile’ located outside of Imperial, Pennsylvania; taking part in the very competitive RUSH Pro-Late Model ‘weekly’ events each and every Saturday night. This weekend’s ‘Sizzler’ series event will be 25-laps in distance; and will award $1,000 to the winner. Reft looks to use his ‘home track advantage’ this weekend and snag the $1,000 top prize.
To add a little extra flavor to the ‘Sizzler’ event on Saturday evening at ‘PPMS,’ RUSH crate teams will be given the opportunity to remove their ‘tops’ for the program; thus eliminating the roof from the car’s roll cage. Mike Reft is still searching for his first win of the 2013 season, and hopes to snag the five-digit pay day Saturday evening. Recent results for Mike Reft include a runner-up finish during feature action at the Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway last Saturday evening, May 25th.The Pittsburgh youngster would kick off his evening last Saturday night with a respective RUSH Pro-Late Model heat race victory.
