Miley Gets #5: Earns Victory at Marion Center Speedway during Independence Day Weekend Special

PITTSBURGH (July 6, 2016) – In typical, busy fashion, Western Pennsylvania super late model hotshoe Jared Miley entered four events during Independence Day weekend, scoring one victory and one additional top-five finish during the four contested main events in three days. “The Jet” scored his fifth super late model victory of the 2016 season during Marion Center Speedway’s Independence Day weekend special, winning feature two of two during the “Twin 25s” program. Miley now has two victories on “The Hill” in 2016, his first repeat victory lane appearance of the season.
“It was a fun weekend, but a long weekend,” said Jared Miley. “I think we were in a position to win all four features this weekend, but unfortunately, that’s not how things work out at times. I can’t thank my team enough for what they do for me. It’s a family affair for sure. We enjoy doing this and we’ll continue to do it as long as the fun continues.”
Other highlights during Independence Day weekend include finishing fourth during ULMS Racing Series competition at Thunder Mountain Speedway near Brookville on Friday, July 1. After earning a victory during his respective heat race, Miley, the 2015 ULMS Racing Series champion, would go on to start seventh during the evening’s main event, only to suffer from a flat tire after taking command of the feature field. Miley would rebound to finish fourth.
Jared Miley Racing will continue their 2016 campaign with a return to the Tyler County Speedway near Middlebourne, West Virginia, on Friday and Saturday, July 8-9. The 2nd annual Mega 100 will take over Tyler County Speedway headlines during the upcoming weekend, set to feature two, full nights of super late model competition, complete with two main events awarding a combined total equalling $8,000. The Mega 100 will award $3,000 on Friday and $5,000 on Saturday. Jared Miley is a former main event winner at Tyler County Speedway, scoring back-to-back Earl Hill Memorial titles.
“We’ve been successful at Tyler County in the past. It really fits my driving style,” said Miley. “Hopefully we can get down there and get things going right off of the trailer.”
