Port Royal – While finishing touches continue on the 2015 Port Royal Speedway slate of events, the season opener is set for Saturday, March 14 at 6 pm, featuring the 410 sprints and super late models.
The sprint cars will compete for $3,500 to win in the opener while the super lates race for $2,000 to win.
Some 30 total race dates and a pair of Interstate Truck and Tractor Pullers-sanctioned pulling events are already on the agenda with yet a few more dates in negotiation.
The STP World of Outlaws sprint cars will again return to the historic venue to close out the season on Saturday, October 24, 2015 but before that a lot of racing will take place.
The wingless stars of the United States Auto Club (USAC) will return to Port Royal for another appearance in 2015, scheduled this year for June 6 when the wingless ARDC Midgets also compete.
The expanded Bob Weikert Memorial sanctioned by the All Star Circuit of Champions Sprints will be the first big event of the year, coming up on Saturday, April 25.
It was announced at the 2014 event that the race would grow to a 40-lap, $15,000 to win spectacle during the upcoming season, all in honor of late, legendary sprint car owner Bob Weikert.
The All Star Circuit of Champions Sprints will return for the annual Tuscarora 50 races in September as part of the Juniata County Fair.
Big developments recently announced regarding the 2015 Port Royal agenda revolves around the oval’s standout super late model competition.
A pair of Port Royal crown jewels for super late models has been announced as part of the revived UFO super late model series and the super lates will again take part in the annual late model speedweek series.
The “New” UFo Championship Tour has released its initial 2015 slate of events including a pair that will take place at Port Royal.
The schedule includes 10 events over 12 nights. The yet-to-be finalized UFo Championship schedule will include up to 14 events for the upcoming season and a season-ending points bonus fund for the top finishing drivers.
Hesston Speedway, Dog Hollow Speedway, Tyler County Speedway and Port Royal Speedway have included the tour in their major super late model 2015 race schedule.
The Port Royal Fallen Heroes Championship for UFO super late models will pay $2,000 to win on Saturday, May 23 while the annual Butch Renninger Memorial 33-lap event will pay at least $3,300 to win on Saturday, September 5, serving as the annual Juniata County Fair Opener.
The UFo Championship will provide a strong point fund to the top seven point positions for the current 10 race schedule.
And as mentioned, Port Royal Speedway will again be a part of Appalachian Mountain Dirt Late Model Speedweek in 2015, hitting the track on Saturday, May 30 along with the 410 sprint cars.

Season passes and seats for the 2015 Port Royal Speedway racing season continue to be on sale.
A season reserve seat for all oval racing events on the 2015 schedule including the exciting fairweek races in 2015 will again cost just $50.00. This pass reserves seats only and is not good for general admission to any events during the upcoming season.
Once again in 2015, the entire main aluminum grandstand will be designated as a SMOKE FREE environment. The Keith Kauffman Family Seating area of the main grandstand will continue to be provided in Section C, where no alcohol or smoking has been permitted since 2011.
Current season seat ticket holders must submit their payment and request for renewal before February 1, 2015 or surrender their seats to new buyers.
General admission season passes for all speedway oval events are now available, at a cost of just $325.00, which does include admission to all fairweek races in 2015.
Season pit passes are also being offered at a price of $400 each while reserved fan parking spots behind the grandstand are being offered for $50.00. (Please note that the parking passes will not be good for fairweek events.)
Just as the last several seasons, all season admission passes, season seat tickets and season parking passes are only good for circle-track auto racing events again in 2015 at Port Royal Speedway. Any other grandstand events such as tractor pulls and demolition derbies are not included.
