Maytown, PA (August 19th, 2014) – Port Royal Speedway’s ‘Tuscarora 50’ weekend is just around the corner, and Maytown, Pennsylvania’s Ryan Wilson is fully committed to being a part of the 47th annual event. The ‘Tuscarora 50’ weekend, sanctioned by the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions, will take shape on Friday and Saturday, September 5th & 6th; highlighted with a 50-lap, ‘410’ sprint car feature finale on Saturday evening, September 6th. Ryan Wilson, who pilots the Pork – Be Inspired, Dent Tech, Delco Designs, Thru It All Body Shop, Obers Firewood, Subway of Manchester, no. 29 ‘410’ sprinter, will begin to prepare himself for the annual ‘Tuscarora 50’ this Saturday night, August 23rd by visiting the Port Royal, Pennsylvania half-mile. ‘Track time’ is essential when preparing for high dollar events in central Pennsylvania, and with Port Royal offering double features this Saturday night for the ‘410’ sprints, it creates a perfect opportunity to ‘test and tune.’

Port Royal Speedway will host ‘Twin 25’s’ this Saturday evening, August 23rd; utilizing a UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions’ format to coordinate the evening’s program. Each 25-lap main event will award $3,000 to the winner, and at least $275 to each starter. As an added bonus, the driver who secures the highest overall average finish between the two features will be awarded an extra $1,000. Ryan Wilson, a ‘358’ sprint car graduate and former ‘360’ sprint car winner at Port Royal Speedway, hopes to not only earn a career-first ‘410’ sprint car victory this weekend during Port Royal’s ‘Twin 25’ program, but the Maytown native also hopes to secure as much ‘track time’ as possible; increasing his awareness and experience level before the historic ‘Tuscarora 50’ hits Port Royal Speedway’s center stage on Friday, September 5th.

Ryan Wilson and the Pork-Be Inspired ‘29’ team will technically kick-off their upcoming weekend on Friday evening, August 22nd with a trip to the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The ‘410’ sprinters will share the evening card with the URC ‘360’ sprint cars. Wilson was scored 20th during feature action last Friday night at the Williams Grove Speedway half-mile. Despite some hard luck in 2014, Wilson still remains inside the top-20 of the current Williams Grove Speedway driver standings; 19th officially with 1945 points.
