NDRL Northeast Late Model Series and NDRL Modified Series Implement Hoosier Tire Rule

Pittsburgh, PA (February, 7, 2014) The National Dirt Racing League has signed a three year agreement with Hoosier Racing Tire to be the exclusive tire for the NDRL Northeast Late Model Series and NDRL Modified Series.

NDRL Northeast Late Model Series competitors will be required to use Hoosier 1300 compound or harder at all NDRL Northeast Late Model Series sanctioned events. Tires must be clearly marked with the four-digit designation. Tire compounds may not be removed or covered.

NDRL Modifieds Series will be required to use a Hoosier M100 Medium or Harder compound. To help offset the initial shock of tire expense at the beginning of the season, the NDRL Modified Series will allow any Hoosier tire to be used until May 17, 2014. After that date all teams will need to conform to the M100 or harder tire rule on all four corners. Tires must be clearly marked with the four-digit designation. Tire compounds may not be removed or covered.

These and all rules at with the NDRL Northeast Late Model Series and NDRL Modified Series will be strictly enforced and tire testing will be implemented at the discretion of NDRL officials.

‘We’re very excited to have Hoosier Tires on board with the NDRL Northeast Late Model Series and the NDRL Modifieds Series,’ NDRL’s Jason Shank quipped. ‘Having the support of a company that has been as instrumental in the growth of our sport as Hoosier Tire has been is important to us at the NDRL. Hoosier Tires has become the tire of choice for a majority of the racers out there today and their support of the racers, tracks, and numerous series’ shows their dedication to help dirt racing succeed.’

Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic was vital in making this agreement work and will be the official distributor for the Hoosier racing tires that will be used at NDRL Northeast and NDRL Modifieds events. Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic general manager, Bob Wirts stated, ‘Everyone at Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic is excited and proud to be a part of this venture with the NDRL Northeast Late Model Series and the NDRL Modifieds Series.’
