NDRL Northeast Late Model Series Celebrates Memorial Day at McKean County Raceway and Little Valley Speedway
E. Smethport, PA (May 20, 2014) The NDRL Northeast Late Model Series will be in action this holiday weekend at McKean County Raceway and Little Valley Speedway for a pair of 30 lap, $3000 to win events on Saturday and Sunday. The NDRL Northeast Late Model Series will join the Patriot Sprint Tour at MCR while on Sunday at Little Valley they will highlight the tracks season opening event.
McKean County Raceway kicks off the holiday weekend with “Patriot Night” for the NDRL Northeast Late Model Series. The 2300lb ultra sleek super late models will be gunning for $3000 to the winner and they will be joined by the Patriot Sprint Tour in a $2000 winged sprint car show. A full program of RUSH Crate Late Models, Close Racing Supply Modifieds, Highway Auto Sales Stock Cars, pure stocks and mini stocks will complete the full action pack program that starts at a special 6:30PM starting time. The NDRL Northeast Late Model Series will have hot lap qualifying procedures and will be using the Westhold transponders. This will be the first of many specials for McKean County’s premier dirt track racing facility located in E. Smethport.
Sunday the NDRL Northeast Late Model Series head to the big half mile oval on the Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds in Little Valley, New York. The ultra-fast paperclip half mile have seen some great exciting finishes over the years and this will be the first of two visits by the NDRL Northeast Late Model Series to Little Valley Speedway. Hot Laps begin at 5:30PM with the NDRL Late Models participating in hot lap qualifying for their heat race starting positions. The NDRL Late Models will be joined by the BRP CanAm Series, street stocks, crate late models and Emods.
Race fans will be treated with some of the region’s top racers such as South Park, Pennsylvania’s, Keith Barbara, Thompson, Pennsylvania driver, Dan Stone, NDRL National touring racers, Max Blair and Tim Fuller of Watertown, NY, Justin Kann of Hesston, PA, Billy Dickson of West Decatur, PA. They will be joined by the local stars of Mike Knight, Jason Dupont, Greg Oakes, Chris Hackett, Dutch Davies, David Scott, Dick Barton, Brent Rhebergen, Doug Eck, Rob Blair and many others.
The NDRL’s McKean County Raceway will open their pits at 4pm with grandstand gates opening at 4:30PM. Hot Laps begin at 6:30PM with racing immediately following. Adult admission is $20 with Sr Citizen $18, Youth 11-17 $14 and family pack price for (2 adults and 2 youth) $65. Pit Passes will be $30. The NDRL Northeast Late Model Series registration entry fee is $50. Yellow Westhold transponder rentals if needed are $25 for all entrants. NDRL Late Model Series registration cut off is 6:10PM with Hot Lap qualifying approximately between 6:30-645pm.
Little Valley Speedway will open their gates at 3:30pm with hot laps at 5:30PM and racing beginning at 6:30PM. Adult admission is $14, children 12 and under are free and pit passes are $25. The NDRL Late Model Series entry fee is $50 while the yellow Westhold transponder rentals are $25 if needed. NDRL Northeast Late Model Series registration cut off is at 5:10 with hot lap qualifying taking place between 5:30-545pm.
