Newly Formed $20,000 to-win Mini-Series to Kick Off in Kentucky and Missouri!

Pittsburgh, PA (January 18, 2013) Officials are excited to introduce a new super dirt late model mini-series titled the National Dirt Racing League. The NDRL will feature the best of the best in the world of dirt late model racing and offer a base purse of over $80,000. The 2013 NDRL schedule will be solidified with events paying $20,000 to the winner and $1,500 to start.

‘We wanted to do something different and exciting for both the drivers and the fans,’ said NDRL Owner John Kennedy. ‘Obviously the purse and payout that we have established will entice and excite the drivers and the plans we have for the fans will undoubtedly grab their attention as well. The objective with the NDRL is to provide top of the line racing action to everyone in attendance and offer lucrative payouts to the drivers as a reward for their dedication to the sport. All of our events will be one day shows and feature some of the biggest names in dirt late model racing.’

‘The goal is to have four to sixevents that will attract some of the best competitors in the sport,’ NDRL President Jason Shank stated. ‘Race fans want to see the best talent in one place, and that is what we’re aiming at. To do that,we will not schedule against either national series or against events considered ‘Crown Jewels’. We are also attempting to schedule events that will be logistically convenient for the nation’s top drivers to attend.’

The Inaugural season for the NDRL mini-series will kick off with a $20,000 to-win doubleheader at Paducah (KY) International Raceway on Friday,March 29 and Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 Pevely (MO) on Saturday, March 30. The ‘Let’s Get Dirty 75 at Paducah’ and the ‘Let’s Get Dirty 75 at I-55’ will both be $20,000 to-win and $1,500 to-start events.

‘We’re extremely pleased to have Paducah and Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 Pevely host our inaugural events,’ Kennedy exclaimed. ‘It’s going to be a huge weekend for the NDRL drivers and fans. We have plans to make our shows more than just races; we want them to be events. Soon we will be announcing a partnership with a popular country-western artist that will perform at our events as well. Fans will really enjoy what we have planned.’

‘Drivers will also be happy with what we have planned,’ Shank chimed. ‘In addition to our lucrative payout,we will also offer a point fund for the drivers finishing within the top ten in points. The point fund will be over $57,000 including $20,000 to the champion. Drivers finishing in the top ten in points will also have to have 100% attendance to qualify for point fund monies.’ Shank continued,’We’ll also have, what we think is a driver and fan friendly format. For the drivers we will split the field in two groups for qualifying and for the fans we will redraw,at minimum, the heat race winners for the feature events.’
