Oravetz transforming into regional racing star
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
OAKDALE, PA (November 9, 2017) – Thirteen-year-old Brodie Oravetz is a young man on a mission. The Oakdale native via Imperial, Pennsylvania, who celebrated five years of competition in 2017, took the regional karting scene by storm during his recent campaign, paving his way down a path of success that included not only victories, but also championships – two championships.
“We had a great season and I am grateful for all of my accomplishments,” Brodie Oravetz said. “I want to thank my family, friends and all of my supporters for being there for me. Hopefully we can win even more next year. We are all having a lot of fun. I can’t wait for next season to get here.”
Taking part in a grand total of 60 different races including 21 high profile events, sometimes entering multiple divisions during any given weekend program, Oravetz amassed an impressive 50 podium performances during his season campaign, seven of which equaling runner-up finishes. By the time the season concluded, the pilot of the KB Racing/Garden of Eating/MJ Steel City/No. 91 made his way to the top of the podium on eight separate occasions, a career-high in the win column. Padding an already impressive karting resume, Oravetz claimed 15 heat race victories during the 60 contested events, most of which earned in the Jr. Clone division.
An accomplishment a full season in the making, Brodie Oravetz claimed two separate karting championships in 2017. Earning each of his titles during Jr. Clone competition, Oravetz made his way to the top of the title chase at Slippery Rock Raceway, and in the RUSH Memorial Cup Series. The championship double was a first-ever feat.
With the off-season officially underway, Brodie Oravetz and KB Racing will begin to assemble plans for their 2018 campaign. A potential schedule will be put together in the coming weeks and will be distributed to family, friends and supporters as quickly as possible.
“We are going to keep working hard,” Oravetz continued. “I want to keep getting better and keep moving up the ladder.”
