Denver, PA (June 30th, 2014) – ‘Super’ Alan Krimes finds himself sixth (6th) in the current ‘Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek’ championship point standings after three (3) rounds of competition. The Denver, Pennsylvania native participated in all three (3) opening rounds of ‘speedweek’ action during the recent weekend; highlighted with a third (3rd) place finish at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on Friday night, June 27th. Krimes, who pilots the Midnite Antiques/Conestoga Valley Garage/Wayne Corini/Krimes Racing Engines/VRP Shocks/ no. 87 ‘410’ sprinter each and every weekend in central Pennsylvania, earned top-twelve finishes in each of the three (3) contested ‘speedweek’ rounds; keeping the current Lincoln Speedway track championship point leader well within striking distance of taking command of the ‘speedweek’ standings.

After opening ‘speedweek’ with a podium finish at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, June 27th, Alan Krimes would keep the positive momentum rolling and earn a second consecutive ‘speedweek’ top-ten finish; this time at the Lincoln Speedway near Abbottstown, Pennsylvania during the 15th Annual Kevin Gobrecht Memorial. Krimes would finish ninth (9th) officially during the $7,000-to-win Gobrecht Memorial on June 28th; starting the thirty-lapper in the eleventh row. ‘Super’ Alan Krimes would round out his recent ‘speedweek’ weekend with a twelfth (12th) place performance at the Path Valley Speedway in Dry Run, Pennsylvania on Sunday, June 29th. Monday, June 30th is the only ‘off day’ during the 2014 edition of ‘Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek.’

Alan Krimes will rejoin the ‘speedweek’ trail on Tuesday, July 1st for a visit to the Grandview Speedway near Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania. On Wednesday, July 2nd, ‘speedweek’ moves on to the Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland for a $5,000 pay day. Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania will host Alan Krimes and all of the ‘speedweek’ travelers on Thursday, July 3rd; once again offering a $5,000 winner’s share. Alan Krimes will then revisit the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg on Friday, July 4th. The second Williams Grove Speedway visit will feature the Mitch Smith Memorial worth $10,000. Depending on performance prior to the second Williams Grove Speedway show, Alan Krimes may participate in the last two (2) ‘speedweek’ rounds at Port Royal Speedway and Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday and Sunday, July 5th & 6th. A decision will be made at a later date.
