‘The Truth’ Wins ‘Salute To A Champion: Rodney Franklin’ Event at Hagerstown
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
Indiana, PA (April 28th, 2015) – With no events scheduled during the upcoming weekend due to family commitments, ‘The Truth’ Gregg Satterlee will turn his attention towards super late model competition on Friday and Saturday, May 8th & 9th in Kentucky and Illinois. The Rochester Mills native, who now resides in Indiana, Pennsylvania, will join the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and American Late Model Series during the May 8th & 9th weekend; competing for no less than $10,000 during the two-day road trip. Gregg Satterlee, the ‘Salute To A Champion: Rodney Franklin’ event winner at the Hagerstown Speedway on April 18th, hopes to use his recent win as a momentum boost during his trip west, and come home with one or two five-digit paydays.
“We have some things planned this weekend with family so we’ll get ready for next weekend” said Gregg Satterlee, “We are going to hit the road for a little while…hit some bigger races and see what we can do…we’ll stop at Ponderosa, Kentucky with the World of Outlaws on Friday, and Fairbury, Illinois with the ALMS on Saturday…Ponderosa is awesome, but I may be more excited to get back to Fairbury next Saturday…it’s just a great time being there…always a big crowd and it’s always a really fun atmosphere; really welcoming…we plan to come back out to Fairbury in a few months for the Prairie Dirt Classic so this will give us a chance to get some laps there.”
Gregg Satterlee and the Satterlee Petroleum Distributors, Keyser Manufacturing, Valvoline, ‘22’ operation will visit the Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky on Friday evening, May 8th; joining the World of Outlaws Late Model Series for a $10,000-to-win program. Satterlee visited ‘Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring’ one other time during his career, entering a Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals event in 2014.
After his visit to Ponderosa Speedway, ‘The Truth’ will move roughly six hours north to the Fairbury American Legion Speedway near Fairbury, Illinois on Saturday, May 9th, taking part in the $10,000-to-win ‘Fan Frenzy’ sanctioned by the American Late Model Series. Satterlee visited the Fairbury short track on two other occasions over the course of his career, with his most recent start being in the 2014 ‘Prairie Dirt Classic.’
“We’ll see what happens” said Gregg Satterlee, “We don’t get to visit these places very often, so we don’t have a ton of experience…hopefully we can put ourselves in a good position both nights and work towards a win.”
During recent super late model competition, it was Gregg Satterlee earning the ‘Salute To A Champion: Rodney Franklin’ victory at the Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland on Saturday, April 18th. The western Pennsylvania native earned nearly $12,000 for his efforts. The eleven-time super late model winner in 2014 now has one victory to his credit thus far this season.
