PORT ROYAL ADDS LATE MODEL SPEEDWEEK SHOW TO AGENDA ~ RACING JUNE 4 AT 7 PM

Port Royal – Port Royal Speedway has announced an added show for race fans coming up on Tuesday night, June 4 when the track hosts the Appalachian Mountain Dirt Late Model Speedweek series for powerful super late models.

The special speedweek date at the track replaces that which was originally scheduled for the series at another Pennsylvania facility.

The Port Royal leg of the 2013 series will play a pivotal role in crowning the champion as the series winds up one night later at Lincoln Speedway.

Racing will begin at 7 pm on June 4 with more details slated to be announced in the days ahead.

The late models will race for $5,000 to win in their Port Royal speedweek appearance.

Late model racing at the track this season has been extremely competitive and with an infusion of national stars into the late model speedweek field expected, the show at Port Royal will likely be second to none during the 2013 series.

Port Royal will also host its regular show of late model action the preceding Saturday, June 1 along with the sprint cars, pro stocks and an enduro dash.

The late model speedweek show will be the first of two huge shows at the track during the first full week of June as the USAC wingless sprint cars make just their second appearance in history at the oval on the following Saturday, June 8.
