Port Royal – Port Royal Speedway will be in action twice this weekend, on September 1 and 3 with the Butch Renninger Memorial for late models on Saturday and the Labor Day Classic for 410 sprints on Monday, September 3.

Saturday’s #1 Cycle Center Harley Davidson Three State Flyers Series Butch Renninger Memorial is the marquee event of the season at the track for the super late models, sponsored all season long by AB Auto Glass.

The Renninger race is part of the kickoff races of the 158th annual Juniata County Fair that runs through September 8 on the Juniata County Fairgrounds.

The 410 sprints, pro stocks and enduros are also on the Fair Opener card that begins at 7 pm with the Renninger race itself going 33 laps for $3,333 to win plus $33 to lead each lap.  Increased purses will also be in effect for pro stocks and enduros.

The race will be the next to last event of the season for the late models and pro stocks with the 2012 titles on the line.  If one driver wires the field for the Renninger Memorial, he or she will pocket over $4,400 for the win.

Monday at 1 pm will be the Foss Jewelers Labor Day Classic for 410 sprints paying $4,000 to win and $300 to start with ARDC Midgets also on the racing program for an open wheel doubleheader during a day at the fair.

Saturday’s adult general admission is just $16 with Monday’s price set at the regular $15.  Students ages 12 – 18 will be JUST $5 for both shows.

Come and enjoy a day or night at the Juniata County Fair and Port Royal Speedway races!
