PRINCE OF PERRIS: Aaron Reutzel and RSR lead them all at Perris for first High Limit score of 2025
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
KNOXVILLE, Iowa (March 24, 2025) – It was a highly-competitive three-race swing in the Golden State for Aaron Reutzel and Ridge & Sons Racing (RSR), but when the dust finally settled Saturday night at Perris Auto Speedway in Perris, California, it was Reutzel who was left standing, scoring his first High Limit Racing triumph of the season and just one week since his ambulance ride in Las Vegas.
Reutzel, ace of Brian and Lisa Ridge’s RSR, Folkens Brothers Trucking, Don Long & STC, B And L Holdings, American Table, Commercial Edge, Rasmusson Service Center, The P.O. Box, Bargain Barn, No. 87 sprint car, led every lap at Perris Auto Speedway, launching activity with the fastest qualifying time, followed by a win in the evening’s dash. Although leading every lap, the eventual High Limit triumph did not come without challenges, forced to fend off Tanner Holmes in the early stages and an eventual green-white-checkered finish.
“Just a great night and a great start out here on the West Coast for our race team,” Reutzel was quick to note. “All the hard work the boys and I put in over the winter is really paying off. Not just on the cars, but getting the shop and truck and trailer ready, too. Brian and Lisa Ridge give us everything we need to be successful so to get a win for them this early on is pretty special. Everything has been really rewarding.”
Other recent results in the Golden State include a 12th-place score from 19th at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway in Bakersfield, California, on Friday, March 21, and an eighth-place score at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, California, on Wednesday, March 19.
As noted, Reutzel’s California swing followed an incident at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas on Saturday, March 15. A rock, impacting Aaron’s helmet during the evening’s dash, caused injuries to Aaron’s head and face. He was quickly evaluated and later discharged.
