Rain at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania left USAC Eastern Storm action without a Saturday night show resulting in Levi Jones being crowned as Eastern Storm champion for the 2nd year in a row. So, since my plans for wingless action were taken away by Mother Nature, it was off to Mercer Raceway Park for a regular night of six division racing.

Mercer had 24 sprinters signed in for Saturday night action. Cap Henry, who lead some of the main event Friday night at Lernerville Speedway, grabbed the win over a solid western Pennsylvania 410 field. Ed Lynch Jr, Rod George, and Bob Felmlee all followed him across the line respectively in that order.

The World of Outlaws found themselves at the Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, this evening for a $10,000 to win show. The ‘Greatest Show on Dirt’ had 25 cars signed in including Kerry Madsen, Sammy Swindell, and Brian Brown. Paul McMahan set quick time again while breaking, or should I say shattering, the previous track record. Steve Kinser would win the war, coming out on top at the end of the 30 lapper over Brian Brown and Cody Darrah. Brown lead 21 laps before being passed by The King. Joey Saldana still sits on top of the points standings by a slim 13 markers over Donny Schatz.

Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour action picked back up this weekend after a long recess. The Ragin Cajun Jason Johnson picked up the ASCS National 360ci victory at I-30 Speedway in Arkansas over Tim Crawley and Wayne Johnson. The former 360 ASCS National Champion and Louisiana native sits 13th in the ASCS national points standings after missing the first few races due to his commitments racing down under. Shane Stewart sits at the top of the ASCS current points standings.

FAST action resumed tonight at Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio- as Bryan Sebetto found himself back in victory  lane with the Ohio based mini series. Of the 29 entries at Fremont tonight for the Fremont Attica Sprint Title event, Tim Shaffer was fastest in time trials.

More weekend wrap up to be posted in the Monday Night Review! On the schedule for tomorrow night; All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car Series at the Clinton County Raceway outside of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania.

thanks for stopping by! and as always; Race Open Wheel!
