Red Buck Dirt Track World Championship Next For Jared Miley Racing!

South Park, PA (10/16/2012) – Western Pennsylvania super late model hotshoe, Jared Miley, will have a perfect opportunity to put an exclamation point on the 2012 season this weekend; as the world famous ‘Red Buck Dirt Track World Championship Featuring Borrowed Blue’ at Portsmouth Raceway Park awaits the South Park, Pennsylvania native. Miley, who conquered the Lernerville Speedway over the course of the 2012 season by winning six feature events and capturing the super late model track championship, will go head-to-head with some of  the nation’s top super late model competitors this Friday and Saturday for a shot at claiming the $50,000 ‘World Championship’ top prize. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will wrap up their 2012 season at the famed event. National superstars such as Jimmy Owens; defending race winner, Don O’Neal; former LOLMDS champion, Scott Bloomquist; and recent Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals winner, Steve Francis, are all expected to be attendance this weekend battling for the notorious top prize. The event has not been conquered by a Pennsylvania native since Chub Frank claimed the title in 2007. Perhaps Jared Miley has just what it takes to upset the invading national travelers, and put Pennsylvania back on top.

“It’s going to be a fun weekend” explained Jared Miley’s brother, Matt, who is also the Crew Chief for the ‘H1’ team, “It’s a prestigious event that everybody wants to win…we’ve been having a pretty decent year…hopefully we can get everything to fall into place this weekend and earn a spot in the A-main.”

The 32nd Annual Red Buck Dirt Track World Championship at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio will kick-off on Friday evening, October 19th, with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series time trials and respective qualifying heat races. Saturday evening, October 20th, will feature all consolation action for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series super late models; followed by the 100 lap, $50,000-to-win/$2,000-to-start, ‘Red Buck Dirt Track World Championship Featuring Borrowed Blue’ main event. Saturday evening’s program will wrap-up with the 30 lap, Jim Dunn Memorial non-qualifiers event for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. The event will award $3,000 to the winner, and will offer a starting position to the top 24 drivers and teams who do not qualify for the DTWC main event.

The Jared Miley Racing /Colussy Chevrolet/Forcey Coal/Octane Graphix/ ‘H1’ team finished 2nd during their most recent start in super late model competition. Miley finished in the runner-up position during the ‘Freedom Fighters 40′ at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio on Saturday, October 13th. This weekend’s trip to Portsmouth Raceway Park, and next weekend’s appearance at Lernerville Speedway, will wrap up Jared Miley’ 2012 season. Miley has ten (10) wins thus far this season at a handful of regional dirt ovals including Lernerville Speedway, Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, Marion Center Speedway, and Tyler County Speedway. This weekend’s trip to Portsmouth Raceway Park will be the team’s first visit to the facility in 2012. The trip could prove to be worth $50,000.

“The last couple weeks have been rough on us” said Matt Miley, “We were second at Wayne County Speedway and that helped-out our momentum situation…we haven’t been able to find victory lane lately – well since August…this wouldn’t be a bad weekend to start winning again!”
