Reutzel and RSR second best in Michigan; $26,000 on the line Tuesday at 141 Speedway

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

KNOXVILLE, Iowa (June 2, 2025) – “A-Aron” Aaron Reutzel and Ridge & Sons Racing (RSR) certainly made things interesting Saturday night at Butler Motor Speedway in Quincy, Michigan, and although the Clute, Texas, native was ultimately one spot short, it was a race to the finish, pressuring Justin Peck in the final corners to finish second in the annual Mace Thomas Classic.

Reutzel, fresh off of his $100,000 Bob Weikert Memorial victory at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania – the richest event in Central Pennsylvania history – started second on Butler’s High Limit Racing grid, falling some at the initial start before clawing his way back forward. The former All Star Circuit of Champions champion came out of nowhere, literally, getting by Brad Sweet late before attempting a last ditch-effort move on the Rudeen Racing No. 26.

Suffice it to say, Peck held strong, out-sprinting Reutzel by less than six one-hundredths of a second.

“We thought we had another one,” Brian Ridge, owner of the RSR, Power Plus, Folkens Brothers Trucking, Don Long & STC, B And L Holdings, American Table, Commercial Edge, Rasmusson Service Center, The P.O. Box, Bargain Barn, No. 87 sprint car, said. “It’s been a fun stretch. Obviously the big win at Port Royal gave us the extra confidence booster that we needed. It’s going to be another busy week and we’ll do our best to score another big payday tomorrow night in the Rayce Rudeen Foundation event.”

ON DECK:
Ridge & Sons Racing and Aaron Reutzel will continue their 2025 campaign with a High Limit Racing Wisconsin double at 141 Speedway and Red Cedar Speedway on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 3-4. Tuesday’s Rayce Rudeen Foundation race will pay $26,000-to-win.
