KNOXVILLE, Iowa (August 19, 2024) – In all, it was a sound and consistent effort for Aaron Reutzel and Ridge & Sons Racing (RSR) in the 46th Jackson Nationals at Jackson Motorplex, not only attaining back-to-back top-fives in the two-day blockbuster, but doing so against the Greatest Show On Dirt – a perfect momentum kick leading into Knoxville Raceway’s season championship on August 24.
Reutzel, ace of Brian and Lisa Ridge’s Folkens Brothers Trucking, Don Long & STC, B And L Holdings, American Table, No. 87 sprint car, finished fourth in each of his top-five appearances, advancing two spots from sixth on each occasion. In addition, the Clute, Texas, native won his respective heat race during the $25,000-to-win finale, ultimately securing his place within the first few rows of the 35-lap main event.
As noted, the double top-five will prove as an important momentum kick leading into the coming weekend, as Reutzel will return to the Sprint Car Capital of the World, Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Saturday, August 24, set to continue his battle for the track title; he trails 95 markers heading into the season finale.
