KNOXVILLE, Iowa (July 1, 2024) – Winning has been the goal from day one, and for Aaron Reutzel and Ridge & Sons Racing (RSR), their goals have certainly been reached, once again claiming victory at the Sprint Car Capital of the World, this time nailing down a $2,000 score in the Knoxville Raceway 360 sprint car program on Saturday, June 29. The victory was Reutzel’s fourth of 2024 in the 360 ranks, simultaneously securing the 13th of his career.
Reutzel, ace of Brian and Lisa Ridge’s familiar Folkens Brothers Trucking, Don Long & STC, B And L Holdings, American Table, Commercial Edge, No. 87 sprint car, secured his 360 triumph within the last few circuits, capitalizing on a late-race caution and ensuing restart. Impressive enough, the former three-time All Star Circuit of Champions champion started 11th on the feature grid, driving his way to a top-five position by lap six.
In addition, Reutzel finished fifth during the 410 sprint car portion of Saturday’s program, commencing competition from one spot better. The Clute, Texas, native now owns 18 top-five scores on the season, increasing his win total to seven since the start of the year.
“The track was absolutely phenomenal,” said Reutzel. “It was the best track all year, so maybe that will shut all the crybabies up who have been (complaining) about the track all year. The Dunkin’s do a great job, and you can’t tell me otherwise.”

Tentatively, Ridge & Sons Racing and Aaron Reutzel [No. 87] will continue their 2024 campaign with Knoxville Raceway’s Mid-Season Championship on Saturday, July 6.
