Team Fully Injected has been on a roll recently; consistently recording top 5 and top 10 performances in eastern and western Pennsylvania. Rod George and Danny Holtgraver, two Fully Injected supporters and merchandise reps, will look to add to their already impressive 2011 seasons tonight at Mercer Raceway Park.

Rod George, who spent a number of seasons in central PA competing with the Pennsylvania Posse, has been on a tear lately; winning races at the Mercer Raceway Park and Dog Hollow Speedway in western Pennsylvania. Rod currently sits second in the Mercer Raceway Park point standings, as well as sitting second in the Lernerville Speedway rankings. Rod’s most recent performance, last night at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania, saw the Kittanning native charge to a runner-up finish; just behind winner, Carl Bowser, for the $2,250 payday. Rod’s biggest victory of the year thus far was worth $2,500- with that being at Dog Hollow’s first ever sprint car event just a few Sunday’s ago. Rod will look to pressure Carl Bowser at Lernerville Speedway and Bob Felmlee at Mercer Raceway Park in the coming weeks, in hopes to knock off their names at the top of the points rankings at both of those facilities.

Danny Holtgraver, the Pittsburgh native and now owner of 3 victories in 2011, will look to build momentum tonight at Mercer before making the trip out west to compete at the 51st Annual Knoxville Nationals. Holtgraver has picked up wins at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, Mercer Raceway Park, and Lernerville Speedway so far in 2011. Recently though, more bad luck than anything has plagued the D4 team- continuing last night as a loss of oil pressure ended their night while running just outside the top 5. The Pittsburgh based operation will regroup tonight at the Mercer bullring and prepare for a trip out west, where they will compete at Knoxville Raceway on August 6th with the All-Stars; Monday, August 8th at Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa with the All-Stars; and finally- at the Knoxville Nationals in Knoxville, Iowa with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. His qualifying date is set to be Thursday evening, August 11th at the world famous, Knoxville Nationals.

Scott Priester, the 25 year veteran from Rimersburg, Pennsylvania and a former Challenger Raceway Track Champion, currently holds a top five position in Mercer Raceway Park points standings. He is the full time pilot of the Dionise Racing no. 15 at the Mercer facility. Brandon Matus, a Wampum, PA native and 4th generation driver, currently holds a top five position in Lernerville Speedway points rankings. He added another top 5 performance last night to his already impressive 2011 Lernerville Speedway resume. They both will be in competition this evening at MRP.
