KUNKLETOWN, PA (August 29, 2017)  – Kunkletown, Pennsylvania’s Ryan Smith will have an opportunity to earn $25,000 in two days during Labor Day weekend, as the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions prepare to invade Attica (OH) Raceway Park and Wayne County (OH) Speedway for a pair of $10,000-to-win programs, also featuring an Ohio Sprint Speedweek presented by Cometic Gasket make-up feature at Attica worth $5,000.

“We are only racing two nights during Labor Day weekend, but there is a lot on the line,” Ryan Smith explained, a former Attica All Star winner. “The next few races are very important to our team. Attica Raceway Park and Wayne County Speedway are very familiar to us. There is no reason why we can’t be in the hunt all weekend long.”

Utilizing a unique format complete with a point system to determine the main event lineup, the annual Dirt Classic Ohio at Attica Raceway Park on Saturday, September 2, will kick-off the long, holiday weekend for Ryan Smith and the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions. Before Dirt Classic Ohio action begins, Ryan Smith will take part in the rescheduled Ohio Sprint Speedweek presented by Cometic Gasket make-up feature where he is scheduled to start ninth.

Following his Attica visit, Ryan Smith and the Tom and Sherry Leidig/Warko Group/Specialty Rigging/Rick’s Auto Body/Auto Electric of Jupiter, FL/No. 59 operation will trek back east and pay a visit to the Wayne County Speedway in Orrville on Sunday for the Pete Jacobs Memorial, also awarding a $10,000 top prize. Smith finished fourth during his most recent visit to Wayne County Speedway, charging forward from 11th to do so. The “Kunkletown Kid” will enter the weekend second in the Arctic Cat All Star championship standings, earning one victory and 19 top-ten finishes thus far in 2017.

Ryan Smith’s most recent Arctic Cat All Star start resulted in a 21st place finish during the third annual Open Wheel Championships at Atomic Speedway on Saturday, August 26. The “Kunkletown Kid” qualified for the $10,000-to-win, 30-lap main event by finishing fifth during his respective heat race, later lining up 19th on the feature starting grid as the result of his heat race finishing position and qualifying time.

“That’s what happens when you time poorly,” Smith explained. “Fortunately for us, we were able to advance from outside of a transfer position during our heat race. Not a lot to discuss about the weekend. We’ll put that behind us and keep working forward. I have an incredible group of people who support my efforts. We’ll work to get them another win this weekend.”
