Sarver, PA – 8/1/12} With four (4) ‘Fab Four’ point events left on the 2012 Lernerville Speedway schedule, there is plenty of time for track championships to be won or lost. In the Ti22 Performance DIRTcar sprint car division, two Kittanning, Pennsylvania natives and Fully Injected teammates continue to battle for the top spot. Kevin Schaeffer and Rod George are only separated by 8 points at the top of the current standings, with Schaeffer holding the advantage. Each driver is a former Lernerville Speedway sprint car track champion, and each own one feature win at the famous Sarver, Pennsylvania dirt oval in 2012. Schaeffer, who plans to retire from sprint car competition at the end of the 2012 season, is in search of his 4th Lernerville Speedway track championship; while fellow veteran, Rod George, also searches for his 4th Lernerville Speedway track championship. The first of the four (4) remaining point events at Lernerville Speedway will take shape this Friday night, August 3rd!

Kevin Schaeffer has been on top of the Lernerville Speedway track championship standings for most of the 2012 season. The three-time consecutive Lernerville Speedway track champion (06-08) has one win at the facility in 2012, and has only finished outside of the top five on one occasion; that being a sixth place performance a few weeks back. The pilot of the Schaeffer Tire/BLX Inc/John Turner Motorsports/FullyInjected.com entry has been very consistent during his 2012 campaign, and looks to cap-off a fantastic driving career with a 4th Lernerville Speedway track championship.

Rod George, a former Lernerville Speedway and Mercer Raceway Park track champion, has been chipping away Kevin Schaeffer’s championship lead week by week. George sits second and only trails ‘Kool’ Kevin Schaeffer by 8 markers going into the last four (4) ‘Fab Four’ events at Lernerville Speedway. The Dr. John Crawford/Kelsey George Racing/FullyInjected.com entry has a 45 point cushion over Greenville, Pennsylvania’s Eric Williams in the current sprint car standings, and is one solid feature finish away from taking over Schaeffer’s point command. George’s most recent Lernerville Speedway track championship came back in 2009.

Eric ‘Turkey’ Williams, 2011 Lernerville Speedway track champion, Carl Bowser, and former World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series competitor, Brian Ellenberger, currently hold down positions 3-5 in the Lernerville Speedway/Ti22 Performance DIRTcar Sprints standings.
