2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Championship Standings: Sixth | 3732 points [148 points behind championship leader, Brad Sweet]

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (June 20, 2022) – Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing put together another successful weekend on the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series trail, this time accomplishing back-to-back top-ten appearances at Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, on Friday and Saturday, June 17-18. Schatz highlighted his visit to the Badger State with an impressive rally from eighth to second in the Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial finale on Saturday, utilizing a blast on the cushion to scoot from fourth to second in the final two circuits. 

“We got really good after about 5-10 laps and I can’t compliment this new motor from Ron Shaver enough,” Schatz said. “We’ve been trying and trying different things and we’ve now got something that works exceptionally well with my right foot. That makes me happy and I think that is showing with our performance tonight.”

Just one night prior, Schatz, ace of the Advance Auto Parts, Carquest, Ford Motor Company, Ford Performance, Curb Records, Sage Fruit, Digital Ally, Absolute Automation and Security, Hunt Brothers Pizza, Elliott’s Custom Trailers and Carts, No. 15 sprint car, finished ninth, maintaining his place within the top-ten after starting seventh on the A-Main grid. With all results considered, the ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion and Fargo, North Dakota, native is now the owner of 20 top-ten finishes in 28 Series starts, nine of which occurring within the top-five. 

ON DECK:
Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing will continue their 2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with four nights of competition at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota, on Wednesday through Saturday, June 22-25, all of which headlined with the High Bank Nationals that technically begins Thursday, June 23, with a $15,000-to-win preliminary. High Bank Nationals action will continue with a $20,000-to-win preliminary on Friday, June 24, followed by the $100,000-to-win finale on Saturday, June 25. Wednesday’s $10,000-to-win event is a rescheduled program from Sunday, June 5.
