Rimersburg, PA (June 4th, 2013) – Western Pennsylvania sprint car veteran and full-time pilot for Martha Dionise Racing, Scott Priester, will enter the upcoming weekend as the current ‘410’ sprint car point leader at the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. Priester finished inside the top ten during his most recent start at the Mercer 3/8’s mile oval; crossing the start/finish line ninth (9th) officially during the June 1st ‘Saturday Night Live!’ weekly program. The recent Mercer Raceway Park winner holds a twelve (12) point lead over defending Mercer Raceway Park ‘410’ sprint car track champion, Eric ‘Turkey’ Williams, in the current track standings. Priester, who pilots the Martha Dionise owned Dionise Racing no. 15 ‘410’ sprinter each and every Saturday evening at the Mercer oval, will return to ‘The Park’ this Saturday evening, June 8th, for another ‘Saturday Night Live!’ weekly appearance; continuing his 2013 track championship chase.
“It’s been a pretty good year so far…and there is a lot of season ahead of us, yet” explained Scott Priester, “I can’t thank Martha Dionise enough for this opportunity to drive her car again this season…earning a win a few weeks back really helped this team’s confidence…hopefully we can keep the season rolling in that direction and stay in the hunt for the track championship…If things fall into place, there is no reason why we can’t be in victory lane each and every weekend.”
Scott Priester and Dionise Racing own one (1) win during ‘410’ sprint car competition in 2013. The team’s lone victory came at the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania back on May 18th. The Priester/Dionise duo kicked-off their 2013 season at ‘MRP’ in a ‘near’ victory situation; leading all but the last lap of the 2013 ‘Saturday Night Live!’ season opener.
The Rimersburg, Pennsylvania native may activate his upcoming weekend with a ‘Fab Four’ weekly appearance at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania on Friday evening, June 7th. If Priester does make a Lernerville Speedway appearance this Friday, it will be from behind the wheel of his familiar, family-owned Priester Racing no. 11. The former Lernerville Speedway winner currently ranks sixth (6th) in the Lernerville Speedway ‘410’ sprint car driver standings.
