Rimersburg, Pennsylvania native and Western Pennsylvania sprint car racing veteran, Scott Priester, waits patiently for the start of the 2012 short track season. Although Priester did not have the results that he had hoped for last season, his anxiousness and drive still exists – and are guaranteed to be displayed in the coming months.

Scott played ‘double duty’ for most of the twenty-eleven season; competing on a weekly basis at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania on Saturday’s; while also competing on a semi-regular basis at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. Priester piloted the familiar pink and purple, Martha Dionise owned no. 15 at Mercer on Saturday’s, while utilizing his own equipment during other racing opportunities. The former Challenger Raceway Track Champion ended his 2011 season with a seventh place performance in the overall Mercer points chase; while also finishing inside the top 15 of  the final Lernerville standings. Although the plans for 2012 have not been completely finalized for Scott Priester, it is certain that one will find the Fully Injected teammate in an A-main lineup sooner or later.

“Not sure what the 15 (Martha Dionise owned) will be doing just yet…” explained Scott, “I plan on talking to her soon to see what she wants to do.”

Priester’s intentions for 2012 consist of traveling to different area venues to compete, instead of staying stationary and running for one particular points championship.

“As of now, no plan to run for points anywhere….we just plan to pick and choose a schedule…but you never know, that could change also”

With the holiday season in full swing, it is now only a matter of time before we will be firing engines again and kicking off the new short track season.
