SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (June 26, 2023) – Effective immediately, Sheboygan, Wisconsin’s Scotty Thiel and Pete Grove’s Premier Motorsports have parted ways. The mutual decision was made following Ohio Sprint Speedweek, officially ending a stint that commenced prior to the start of the 2023 All Star Circuit of Champions season.

During their short tenure, Thiel and Premier Motorsports earned a trio of top-ten performances, two of which fourth-place scores during All Star appearances at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wisconsin, and Weedsport Speedway in Weedsport, New York.

At this time, Thiel is actively seeking other opportunities.

“We had goals in mind, but unfortunately, we were unable to meet those goals. We were hoping to utilize Ohio Sprint Speedweek as a turnaround for our team. Things just didn’t go as planned,” Thiel stated. “I want to thank Pete and Alex Grove for the opportunity. I also want to thank Joe and Greg for their hard work this year. They made racing at the level we did a possibility.”

“At this time, I am seeking other opportunities,” Thiel added. “I’ve been fortunate to be associated with great partners like Walker’s Game Ear, Stealth Cam, Muddy Outdoors, Professional Plating, and Scott Thiel Builders. I still have partnership obligations that I’m dedicated to fulfilling and I would like to build something to carry out those obligations.”
