This Saturday night will wrap up the season for the Williams Grove Speedway and the 410’s and 358’s. Fall Fest is an invitational event only for the top 24 drivers in points; there will be no time trails and no heat races. There will be a makeup feature for the 358 sprints, which will be the final point race in the American Ceramic Tile series. The 410 sprint car feature will be a 25 lap event, with the rest of the night’s attractions having 20 lap features around the fast ½ mile oval.

Fall Fest began in 2001 and Todd Shaffer was the winner in the sprint car division. Since that time, Greg Hodnett became the man to beat; winning four consecutive races in 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2006, before Lucas Wolfe stopped his streak in 2007. The Fall Fest was cancelled because of inclement weather in 2005, 2008, and 2009. With the weather looking great for the weekend, drivers and fans should anticapate a good night of racing. Six sprint car drivers will receive a free Goodyear tire following the running of their feature event. The winner and hard charger will each earn a tire. The winner will draw four numbers and the drivers finishing in the positions which correspond with those numbers will also get a tire.

Friday october 21 will also mark the end of the 2011 season for Lincoln Speedway. On tap for the night are Twin 20’s for the 410 sprints and the central Pa Legand cars as the supporting division. Gates open at 5:30 and racing to begin at 7:00. You can bet that Fred Putney will ensure the drivers a great track like he did all year. You can also bet on a strong turn out of cars for Friday’s show. With the season winding down, many teams will want to end the year on a good note.
