By Fully Injected Motorsports:

CARLISLE, Pa. (May 16, 2022) – Making their return to Keystone State headquarters, Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports followed the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series trail to a pair Pennsylvania staples over the recent week, entering Lincoln Speedway’s Gettysburg Clash on Wednesday, May 11, followed by Williams Grove Speedway’s annual Morgan Cup on Saturday, May 14. The two-race venture proved successful for the Carlise, Pennsylvania-based operation, cashing in for a pair of top-ten finishes highlighted with a fourth-place score at Lincoln.

Bayston, ace of the CJB Motorsports, Signing Day Sports, JRC Transportation, Nyce Crete and Landis, Ecynbro Trucking, C&S Lawn and Landscape, Kistler Engines, The Dunn Group, Highlands’ Power Sports, High Performance Lubricants, No. 5 sprint car, kicked-off Lincoln’s midweek showcase by recording the third-fastest qualifying time in his respective group, driving on to finish second in his respective heat race. The Lebanon, Indiana, native lined-up third on the Gettysburg Clash grid, earning the spot via dash finish. Impressive enough, there were 55 cars entered for action; the largest car count for the World of Outlaws thus far this season.

At Williams Grove Speedway, Bayston and CJB Motorsports finished eighth, rallying three spots on a quick, high-paced surface after fading slightly at the start of the $17,000-to-win event.

“I’m really proud of this team. We are pleased to come out of Williams Grove with a top-ten performance. Historically, it’s my worst track, and it’s a place I’ve always struggled to get a hold of. Even after fading at the start, the fuel load burnt off and we were able to recover,” Spencer Bayston said. “We’re really looking forward to getting back there and having two nights to build our comfort level even higher. Even after this weekend, we have a great guage on how to approach future Williams Grove visits.”

ON DECK:
Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports will continue their 2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with a visit to Bridgeport Speedway in Bridgeport, New Jersey, on Tuesday, May 17, followed by an Ohio doubleheader on Friday and Saturday, May 20-21, visiting Attica Raceway Park and Sharon Speedway in respective fashion. The Ohio takeover will actually continue on May 28 with a stop at the Atomic Speedway highbanks in Chillicothe, Ohio.
