7/21/13
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mechanicsburg – Williams Grove Speedway will be back in action with a dual card of sprint car racing this Friday, July 26 at 7:30 pm.

Featured on Friday will be the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprints and the Tool Shed of America 358 sprint cars.

Purses for both of the sprint car divisions will be increased, as the race will be dubbed a “Phoenix” event thanks to a rainout at the oval on July 19.

The 410s will vie for $4,000 to win while the 358s will race for $1,100 to the winner. Increases will also be in effect through other portions of the fields.

The 410 sprints will be in action with a regular program of qualifying heat races and a 25-lap feature.

The 358 sprints will race in a regular 20-lap main with qualifying heat races.

The Williams Grove Speedway Saturday Series will be in action on July 27 with Kids Night.

The Kids Night Saturday Series event features racing action provided by the super sportsman, 358 late models and street stocks for a $5 adult general admission ticket with kids ages 12 and under free.

Games and prizes and autograph sessions for kids will be held in the infield during the Kids Night event.

The lucrative URC 360/358 Sprint Nationals will hit Williams Grove on Friday, August 2.

The URC event will be contested along with competition for the regular Williams Grove 410 sprints.

The August 2 URC Nationals will pay a hefty $4,000 to win for the 25-lap main event.

Due to rainouts, the Nationals will be the first URC show of the season at Williams Grove Speedway.

Now over half way through the season, veteran Fred Rahmer currently leads the 410 sprint point standings over relative newcomer Brent Marks.

Kevin Nouse is the current 358 sprint point leader.
