Susquehanna Speedway’s Final Showdown on deck for the “Kunkletown Kid”
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
KUNKLETOWN, PA (October 24, 2017) – Despite his 2017 Arctic Cat All Star campaign officially in the books, Ryan Smith has been busy, most recently making the trip to Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, New York, on Friday, October 20. Unfortunately for Smith, his visit to the Finger Lakes region was short lived, ending his night with a DNF during the Empire Super Sprints finale.
Turning focus a little closer to home, the “Kunkletown Kid” will resume his 2017 campaign with Susquehanna Speedway’s Final Showdown on Saturday, October 28; the final sprint car event of the 2017 Pennsylvania racing season. Smith is certainly no stranger to the York Haven venue, joining the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions in late August.
“It’s always nice to get back to Susquehanna,” Smith said. “They’ve been doing a lot of great things to that place. Hopefully we can close out the Pennsylvania season with a solid finish. Besides our mechanical issues in New York, we’ve been pretty hot lately. I’d like to keep that going.”
Ryan Smith will enter the weekend with a full season of Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions competition under his belt, wrapping up the 2017 championship with a runner-up finish in the final standings. The campaign included three victories, two during the same night while in action at Mansfield (OH) Motor Speedway.
Susquehanna Speedway’s Final Showdown will award a $5,000 top prize.
