T.J. Michael Earns First Win of 2015
Attica Raceway Park ‘Opener’ On Deck for Texas Native

Plano, Texas (March 9th, 2015) – After scoring multiple top-ten and top-five finishes during his first few weeks of ‘305’ sprint car competition, Plano, Texas native T.J. Michael finally reached the top of the podium on Saturday, March 7th. Michael, who is piloting the Kenny Clark owned no. 18 ‘305’ sprinter wrenched by Scott Bartson during the early stages of his current season, entered Racesaver ‘305’ action on Saturday, March 7th at the Gator Motorplex near Willis, Texas. Michael qualified for the Racesaver main event by finishing third during his respective heat race. The former F.A.S.T. ‘305’ main event winner would start the evening’s feature program on the inside of row number four, and rally seven positions to secure his first win of the season. The victory at Gator Motorplex was T.J. Michael’s third-career ‘305’ sprint car victory.
“Feels great to get that first win of the year” said T.J. Michael, “Everyone on this team works really hard and they deserved this one…I can’t thank my Dad, Scott Bartson and Mike Melton enough for everything they do…Scott Bartson has been down here for a while now working on our cars and he does a great job…this motor actually belongs to Mike Melton and we were working out of his shop…its been a great start to the year…hopefully this momentum continues; especially when we move into the ‘410’ stuff here soon.”
After entering events in all areas of Texas over the last few weekends, T.J. Michael will finally make his return to the ‘Buckeye State’ and continue his 2015 racing campaign on Friday evening, March 27th at the Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. The home of ‘Ohio’s Finest Racing’ will host their season opener on Friday, March 27th; welcoming back the highly competitive ‘410’ sprint cars, ‘305’ sprint cars, and UMP super late models. T.J. Michael will perform a ‘double-duty’ during the Attica opener; making his first ‘410’ sprint car start of the 2015 season, while also competing in the ‘305’ ranks. The Texas native will hunt for a career-first ‘410’ victory at the Attica Raceway Park, with the ultimate goal of ‘sweeping’ the evening.
“I have been waiting for this all winter” said T.J. Michael, “We are more than excited to get our ‘410’ program going…the car is ready and I think we are ready…I can’t thank everyone enough for their help…hopefully the weather cooperates and things go on as scheduled.”
