T.J. Michael Shows Progress During Four Crown Nationals Visit, Open Wheel Shootout Ahead
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
FREMONT, Ohio (September 27, 2016) – The “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael made two consecutive starts at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, on Friday and Saturday, September 23-24, joining the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series and the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions. When the dust settled on Saturday night, Michael had earned his way into one of two main events, ultimately qualifying for the Arctic Cat All Star portion of the 35th Annual Four Crown Nationals weekend.
Michael, a full-time traveler on the Arctic Cat All Star trail, finished 21st during the 30-lap, Four Crown Nationals program, qualifying his way into the main event by finishing fifth during his respective heat race. The Plano, Texas, native kicked-off his first-ever Four Crown Nationals appearance at The Big E by recording the 14th fastest time out of 37 entries during qualifying time trials; his best effort yet at the World’s Greatest Dirt Track.
“We were really happy with our qualifying effort on Saturday. A huge turnaround after not making the show against the World of Outlaws on Friday night,” T.J. Michael explained. “We used Friday as a test day; we wanted to figure out where we needed to be for the All Star portion of the weekend. Turns out, we made all of the right decisions. I’m not sure we have everything figured out, but getting comfortable with time trials is a huge, huge step at Eldora. I’m already looking forward to getting back there in a few weeks.”
T.J. Michael, pilot of the Tim Michael-owned, Advanced Cast Stone, Fremont Fence Company, Kear’s Speed Shop, Shell Shock, Hinchman Suits, Snap-On, Kistler Racing Engines, J&J Auto Racing , MJ Webb Enterprises, Roy Hardin Masonry, Wood Air Conditioning, No. 8M entry, will return to Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, on Saturday evening, October 8; the fourth and final Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions appearance of 2016. The annual Sprintacular, the final Eldora Speedway event of the 2016 season, will be the main attraction, featuring not only a full, Arctic Cat All Star program worth $5,000, but also an NRA ‘360’ Sprint Invaders program and a BOSS non-wing sprint car program.
Before returning to Rossburg, Ohio, T.J Michael will spend a weekend close to home; set to join the top locals of northwest Ohio for the Open Wheel Shootout at Fremont Speedway on October 1.
“We have an open weekend between now and our next All Star race, so we’ll use that to our advantage and make the short trip to Fremont,” T.J. Michael explained. “The race track is literally right across the street from our shop. We’ll head there and try some things. We can relax and enjoy ourselves a little bit, too. I want to thank my family, my team and all of my supporters for their dedication this season. Our season is quickly coming to a close; it’s tough to imagine.”
