T.J. Michael Will Begin His 2015 Journey in Texas!
Multiple ‘305’ Events Scheduled for February

Plano, Texas (January 12th, 2015) – Former F.A.S.T. ‘305’ competitor T.J. Michael will begin his 2015 racing campaign in his home state of Texas; competing in Racesaver ‘305’ sprint car events at the Lone Star Speedway and Kennedale Speedway Park. Each venue will host multiple practice programs before launching their ‘spring’ schedules in late February.
“The plan is to visit Lone Star Speedway and Kennedale for a few practices sessions, then race their season openers” said T.J. Michael, “Being able to race in February will definitely help us get a jump start on the season…hopefully the weather cooperates and we can get the year rolling.”
Michael will pilot the Kenny Clark owned ‘305’ sprinter during his Texas campaign. Clark, who is based out of Ohio, will ship a car south for Michael to drive.
“Kenny has few cars and he told me a long time ago that whenever I wanted to race, he would have a car ready for me” explained Michael, “We work out of his shop in Ohio…he was the first person I ever drove for…being able to bring one of his cars south is a great opportunity and I am truly thankful for it…Advanced Cast Stone, Fremont Fence Company and Kears Speed Shop make this possible…hopefully we can get the year started on the right foot.”
T.J. Michael will kick-off his Texas run with a visit to the Lonestar Speedway in Kilgore, Texas on Saturday, February 21st. The Racesaver ‘305’ ‘Sprint Smackdown’ event will award $1,000 to the winner, and $400 to start. Michael, who spent much of his 2014 campaign splitting time between Attica Raceway Park (OH) and Fremont Speedway (OH), will then visit the Kennedale Speedway Park in Kennedale, Texas on Saturday, February 28th. The ‘Spring Kick-Off’ program at Kennedale is less than an hour from his Plano, Texas home.
“Our ‘410’ program is about ready to go, but we wanted to get started racing a little sooner” explained Michael, “I have a lot of experience in a ‘305’ sprint car and ran one for most of last year…hopefully I can use my experience and earn a win close to home later next month…being right down the road from home allows my friends and family to come out and support us…we are more than excited…we’ll be racing a ‘410’ for a majority of the time in 2015.”
