T.J. Michael Will Enter Tuscarora 50 Weekend for First Time in Career
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
FREMONT, Ohio (September 7, 2016) – For the first time in his young career, like so many other scenarios in 2016, the “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael will enter Tuscarora 50 weekend at the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania, complete with two, full nights of sprint car competition featuring the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions and the Pennsylvania Posse.
Scheduled for Friday and Saturday, September 9-10, Tuscarora 50 weekend will ignite officially on Friday evening, September 9, with the Night Before The Tuscarora 50 program awarding $5,000, followed by the 50-lap, $12,000-to-win, Tuscarora 50 main event on Saturday, September 10. It will be the longest, and perhaps grueling, main event Michael has ever entered or participated in.
“This should be a lot of fun,” Michael explained, pilot of the Advanced Cast Stone, Fremont Fence Company, Kear’s Speed Shop, Shell Shock, Hinchman Suits, Snap-On, Kistler Racing Engines, J&J Auto Racing, MJ Webb Enterprises, Roy Hardin Masonry, Wood Air Conditioning, Pro Tech Service Company, No. 8M. “We were really good during our first ever visit to Port Royal Speedway in the spring. We ended up finishing ninth after starting 19th, which was really exciting because it was our first time ever seeing the place. The level of competition will be supreme all weekend, but we are going to approach it like any other weekend. We want to put ourselves in a positive position early to set ourselves up for the A. I think these half-mile ovals, especially after they start to slick off. I’m ready to get back there!”
T.J. Michael, the recent high school graduate who is slowly wrapping up his first, full year on the road with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions, will enter his final Central Pennsylvania weekend of 2016 with two recent starts under the Arctic Cat All Star banner; finishing inside the top-15 during a pair of $10,000-to-win programs in the state of Ohio. The Plano, Texas, native, who now calls Fremont, Ohio, home, finished 12th during the Dirt Classic Ohio at Attica Raceway Park on September 3, followed by a 14th place performance during the Pete Jacobs Memorial at Wayne County Speedway on September 4. Michael will enter Tuscarora 50 weekend currently seventh in the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions standings, earning seven top-ten finishes to date.
“We’ve been having a lot of fun this year. It’s kinda hard to believe that we are already into the month of September,” Michael said. “I have so many people to thank; sponsors, family, crew. I wouldn’t be here without everyone’s help and dedication. Hopefully we make some noise this weekend at Port Royal Speedway and do our part in representing the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions.”
