By Fully Injected Motorsports:
FREMONT, Ohio. (May 10, 2016) – The “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael will continue his 2016 Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions campaign this Friday and Saturday, May 13-14, with a swing through Western Pennsylvania. The Plano, Texas, native, who races out of his Fremont, Ohio, shop, will visit Lernerville Speedway and Mercer Raceway Park during his upcoming travels, searching for that career first series victory during his first full year on the road.
“We’ve been having a lot of fun this year,” explained T.J. Michael. “I’m sure that will continue this weekend when we head back to Pennsylvania. I’m excited to visit Lernerville Speedway and Mercer Raceway Park. We’ve been racing well; putting ourselves in good positions and qualifying for races. Most of the tracks we visit are new to us, but that keeps things interesting. Hopefully we can keep things going in the right direction this weekend.”
The Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions will visit ovals less than 60 miles apart during their weekend trek through the “Keystone State,” all beginning with action at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver on Friday night, May 13. The two-day swing will continue on Saturday evening, May 14, with a visit to the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer. Michael, pilot of Michael Motorsports, Advanced Cast Stone, Fremont Fence Company, Kear’s Speed Shop, Shell Shock, Hinchman Suits, Snap-On, Kistler Racing Engines, No. 8M, will enter the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions doubleheader currently sixth in the championship standings, leading all rookie contenders with only 88 markers separating himself and the top spot.
The Texan made his most recent start with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions on Sunday evening, April 24, at the Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, finishing 14th against the stout field of All Star travelers and “Pennsylvania Posse.”
“I think our goal is to keep our positive momentum moving in the right direction and work for top-ten finishes,” said T.J. Michael. “Right now, our biggest competitor has been the weather. Hopefully we can travel to Lernerville on Friday without any threat of rain. I just want to thank my entire family and crew for their help and dedication. I wouldn’t be where I am today without their help.”
