T.J. Michael Will Visit Attica and Mercer During Upcoming Weekend
Career First Visit to MRP This Saturday

Fremont, Ohio (May 7th, 2015) – Another full weekend of open wheel racing is on tap for Plano, Texas native T.J. Michael. Michael will visit two different facilities in two different states during the upcoming weekend, while racing in two different sprint car divisions. The Texan will make a visit to the Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio on Friday night, May 8th, followed by a trip to the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. The trip to ‘M.R.P.’ on Saturday, May 9th will be a career-first for T.J. Michael. A regular ‘Saturday Night Live’ program is on the agenda.
Michael will begin his weekend with the ‘305 Engine Builders Challenge’ at Attica Raceway Park on Friday evening, May 8th. The annual program will award $1,200 to the main event winner. Michael is a recent feature winner at the Attica bullring; picking up a ‘305’ sprint car victory during the HD Supply Spring Nationals in early April. The high school junior will once again pilot the Fremont Fence Company, Kear’s Speed Shop, no. 18 ‘305’ sprinter at Attica Raceway Park.
On Saturday evening, T.J. Michael will venture across Ohio into western Pennsylvania where he will invade the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania for the first time in his career; joining the ‘410’ sprint cars for a regular Saturday night program. Michael will pilot the Advanced Cast Stone, Kear’s Speed Shop, no. 8M ‘410’ sprinter at the Mercer short track.
“Should be a fun weekend” said T.J. Michael, “We wanted to go out and race somewhere a little different so we decided to head over to Mercer…I’ve never been there so we’ll be behind a little bit from the start…I think once we get through warm ups, and get a feel for the track, we will be alright…I want to thank my Dad and everyone involved with this race team…hopefully we can work our way towards the front this weekend at a new track.”
During recent competition, T.J. Michael picked up a 7th place finish during the ‘305’ sprint car main event at the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio on Saturday, May 2nd.
