JONESTOWN, Pa. (October 19, 2023) – The “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss will tango in Texas during the coming weekend, ready to invade the iconic Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, on Friday and Saturday, October 20-21. The two-day showcase, dubbed the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Stampede, will feature the Greatest Show On Dirt for the final time, all of which culminating with a $20,023-to-win main event on Saturday night; the weekend will open with a $12,000-to-win preliminary. 

Zearfoss, ace of his own Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, Milton Hershey School, A. Lane Living, Berkebile Oil Company, No. 3Z sprint car, will roll into the Lone Star State ninth in the World of Outlaws championship standings, padded by seven top-ten scores thus far. The Jonestown, Pennsylvania, native’s last top-ten occurred in Grand Forks, North Dakota, where the former Port Royal Speedway champion finished tenth at River Cities Speedway.

As hinted, Devil’s Bowl Speedway will close its doors following the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Stampede, a facility rich in history where the Greatest Show On Dirt was born in 1978.

“It’s a special place for the Series, so we’re excited to be a part of their final World of Outlaws event,” Brock Zearfoss noted. “It would be great to add our names to the record book as a Devil’s Bowl Speedway winner. It would also give us a great boost of momentum heading into the World Finals. We want to end the year on a stretch of positive results so we’ll aim to get that started this weekend.”

Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will continue their 2023 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with a two-day stay at the iconic Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, on Friday and Saturday, October 20-21. Dubbed Sprint Car Stampede, the weekend showcase will be the final event at Devil’s Bowl, ever.
