The RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series Invades The NDRL’s McKean County Raceway with BRP CanAm Late Models on Thursday, July 11.

East Smethport, PA (July 8, 2013) The NDRL’s McKean County Raceway welcomes the Sweeney Chevrolet/Buick/GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series as a part of their ‘Cross the Borders’ Speedweek that will feature events in both Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Wexford, PA’s Mike Pegher Jr., will lead the RUSH Late Models into the Smethport, PA oval as the series point leader after winning the last two RUSH Series events at Hagerstown (MD) Speedway and Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, PA. Former NFL’er Rick Singleton of Hesston, PA sits second in the championship standings of the first year crate late model tour followed by Glenn Elliott of Finksburg, MD, young hot shoe Ryan Montgomery of Fairmont, WV and rising star Joe Martin of Mayport, PA. The traveling RUSH Series contingent will take on the strong crop of local MCR drivers including point leader Max Blair of Centerville, PA, Chad Ruhlman of Bemis Point, NY, Adam Sixt of Sardinia, NY, and Belfast, NY’s Bob Kish.
The BRP CanAm Late Model Series will also be on the card giving the local EMod drivers the week off. BRP Tour point leader John Waters leads the 360 late model series into the NDRL’s McKean County Raceway for their only visit of the 2013 racing season. Both touring groups will be joined by the weekly MCR divisions including the super late models, Close Racing Supply street stocks, mini-stocks, and the recently added pure stocks.

McKean County Speedway’s weekly super late model contingent will again compete for the best payout in the region as point leaders Jason Dupont, Boom Briggs, Ron Davies look to take command of the season’s championship standings while Adam Ashcroft looks to hold onto his commanding point lead with the Close Racing Supply street stocks. Mini-Stock point leader Joe Boylan hopes to find victory lane for the first time and keep Larry Mitchell Jr. from picking up his sixth win of the year. Remember the EMods have this week off with the BRP CamAm Late Model Series in town.

The action all starts Thursday night, July 11 at 7:30pm with pit gates opening at 4:30pm and grandstand gates opening at 5:00pm. Grandstand admission is now just $12 ($10 senior citizen) and pit passes are now only $25, children 12 and under are free.
