Thiel and Greg Wheeler Motorsports to continue March slate at US 36 and 81 Speedway

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (March 23, 2026) – It was another competitive weekend on the road for “Big Wheel” Scotty Thiel and Greg Wheeler Motorsports, this time joining the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in starts at Lawton Speedway and Creek County Speedway on Friday and Saturday, March 20-21.
Although settling for feature finishes outside of the top-ten, 18th and 24th, respectively, there were plenty of shining moments, one of which a heat race victory at Lawton which sent the Sheboygan, Wisconsin, native directly to the evening’s dash; he finished eighth.
The World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year contender will now move ahead, aiming at upcoming starts at US 36 Raceway in Osborn, Missouri, and 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas, on Friday and Saturday, March 27-28.
“Laps make progress,” Thiel, driver of Greg Wheeler’s Scott Thiel Builders, Gibbsville Cheese, Flint Trucking, Professional Plating, Richards Well Drilling, Complete Water, GRP Motorsports, No. 16C, said. “I think we’re making a lot of progress. The box scores never paint the whole picture. Regardless, super proud of this entire team. It’s not easy battling with the best in the world every night, but that’s what it takes to be at the top.”
