Thiel and Ragged Edge Racing with big results in ASCS/DIRTcar Nationals slate; USCS Winter Heat ahead

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (February 3, 2025) – In most case scenarios, it takes time for teams and new drivers to become acquainted and develop a level of comfort, but for “Big Wheel” Scotty Thiel and Michigan’s own Ragged Edge Racing, the comfort level was almost instantaneous, launching their 2025 campaign with three straight top-ten appearances against the ASCS National Tour at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida, on January 30 through February 1.
Thiel, the 2024 IRA Outlaw Sprint Series champion, finished eighth, seventh, and sixth, respectively, in the three-day contest, all of which the product of speed and consistency. The Sheboygan, Wisconsin, native started no worse than eighth in the ASCS tripleheader, padding his weekend stat card with heat race triumphs on Friday and Saturday, as well as three straight Dash appearances.
A stout start, but far from over, Thiel and Ragged Edge Racing will continue their 2025 tour of the Sunshine State with a USCS appearance at Hendry County Motorsports Park in Clewiston, Florida, on February 6-8.
“Just a great way to open the season with Ragged Edge Racing. Our speed at the track reflects their hard work ethic at the shop and it’s truly exciting to be a part of,” Thiel expressed. “We had speed right out of the gate and our car was solid all three days. Track position was definitely key, and although we had some late dash pills, it was probably more beneficial than not. It really helped us make the car better in dirty air. Overall, the team is excited and we’re confident these results will only create positive momentum at Hendry County.”

Scotty Thiel and Ragged Edge Racing will continue their 2025 campaign with United Sprint Car Series (USCS) action at Hendry County Motorsports Park in Clewiston, Florida, on February 6-8. The weekend opener will feature practice followed by back-to-back programs.
