Waycross, GA (March 23, 2015) – This weekend’s Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned event at Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS, scheduled for March 27th, has been postponed until Saturday April 11th. The event at Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, LA, scheduled for March 28th, has been canceled, after no-suitable make-up date was found.
The region has been battered with torrential rains over the last few weeks and last weekend, the grounds at both speedways are just already too saturated to be ready for events this coming weekend; with more forecasted to hit during this week, there is not enough time to allow the water table to fall and the grounds and racetracks to dry out.
“We really hate to lose both of these events this weekend. The fans are always in for a great show every time we come to Jackson, and last year’s race at Ark-La-Tex was fantastic! We can’t wait to come back to both tracks,” stated Assistant-Series Director, Rick Schwallie, “after talking with the promoters at Jackson and Ark-La-Tex and looking for a suitable make-up event for both facilities, but we were unable to find a suitable make-up date for Ark-La-Tex.”
Next up for the LOLMDS will be the April 11th, event at Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS. The event will pay $12,000 to win and will feature Miller Welders Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a 50-lap Feature. For more information, check out www.jacksonmotorspeedway.net.
